Sound Lab

Play a note. Shape the sound.

Explore a small synthesizer with a big sense of space.

Enable sound, then play with your mouse, touch, or computer keyboard.

A mellow, simple tone. A good starting point for hearing each effect.

LIVE WAVEFORM

Computer keys: A W S E D F T G Y H U J K O L P ; ’ ] · Hold several notes for a chord. Swipe the keyboard sideways on smaller screens. Adjust any slider while you play; arrow keys still adjust the focused slider. On touch screens, tap and hold the keys.

Combine effects · Explore one at a time

Reverb

A trail of reflections, like playing in a larger room.

Phaser

A sweeping, swirling tone from shifting phase and blending it back in.

Tremolo

A rhythmic change in volume. Turn up depth to hear the pulse.

Chorus

A gently detuned copy thickens the sound, like several players together.

Flanger

A very short moving delay creates a hollow, jet-like sweep.

Delay

Distinct echoes repeat your notes. Feedback controls how long they linger.

Drive

Soft clipping adds grit and extra harmonics. Try a bright voice.

Auto-pan

Move the sound between left and right. Best heard with headphones.

Try the same chord with each preset, then adjust one effect at a time. All ten voices are synthesized, including the electric keys and organ; no samples are loaded. These are browser-made versions of familiar effects, not Nord sound models. Sound stays in your browser.
