Music
I love music, and have always considered it the hobby I am most passionate about. There are specifically three areas of music that I really enjoy: listening to music, playing music, and recording music.
Listening to Music
My favorite type of music is 50’s/60’s/70’s rock/pop, but also enjoy many other kinds such as classical, big band, blues, and soundtracks (especially Disney soundtracks). I am an avid fan of The Beatles (including all of their solo work), and enjoy studying/analyzing/playing their music. Some other groups/people I really enjoy listening to include Elton John, Pink Floyd, Bee Gees, The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nobuo Uematsu, Barenaked Ladies, Weird Al Yankovic, and Here Come The Mummies.
Playing Music
I have been a musician ever since I was little. My main expertise is with the piano and guitar, but I dabble around on many other instruments and also enjoy collecting others that I come across. In addition to the instruments shown below, I also own a variety of other instruments including a violin, a banjo, a dulcimer, an ocarina, a mandolin, a trombone, several harmonicas, and even a set of bagpipes that I brought back from Scotland. I tend to enjoy instruments that have a vintage sound.

Recording Music
A recent interest of mine has been recording music. I consider myself an amateur audio engineer, as I have been learning and practicing the art of recording, mixing, and mastering music. I have a small recording studio set up in my house, and utilize Apple’s Logic Pro software as my DAW (digital audio workstation). Some of the equipment I utilize can be seen below.
